Frequently Asked Questions
Do my students have to pay?
No, and they never will. Students join your class with a code, take the assignments you set, and see their own progress — free, forever. The Studio plan is the only thing anyone pays for, and you are the one paying it.
Which levels does this cover?
RCM Levels 5 through 8. Those are the levels RCM examines theory at, and where a missed co-requisite actually blocks a practical exam. Prep through Level 4 has no theory exam, so it is deliberately out of scope.
How does the parent report work?
One page, once a month, in your studio's name. It shows per-category accuracy against the 60% pass mark, strongest and weakest knowledge categories, and the number of questions completed. You send it home; the parent can finally see what they are paying for.
What is the readiness score?
A timed mock exam in the same shape as RCM's online Levels 5–8 paper — 45 minutes, all objective questions — scored against the published 60% pass mark and broken down by knowledge category. It answers the question you actually have before a registration deadline: is this student ready enough to register?
Is this official RCM material?
No. QuizNotes is an independent study tool aligned with the RCM Theory Syllabus, 2016 Edition. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or published by The Royal Conservatory of Music. You still need the official syllabus and your Celebrate Theory books.
What happens after the 14-day trial?
Nothing disappears. Your classes, students and assignments stay exactly where they are — you just need a Studio subscription to keep assigning new work. No card is required to start the trial, so nothing charges automatically when it ends.
Can I try it before creating an account?
Yes. Every drill is open at /quiz with no login at all. Create an account only when you want classes, assignments and reports.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit cards, processed through Stripe. Cancel any time and keep access to the end of the billing period.
